Weight Loss

For a weight loss strategy to be successful, it needs to address not just caloric intake, but also how those calories are burned. That’s why Theta Vitality & Wellness Center offers a metabolic weight loss program that assesses the way the body uses food for energy to develop a personalized weight loss regimen. This may involve learning new skills, making significant lifestyle changes, and taking new medications.

Type 2 Diabetic Wellness Therapy

Lowering A1C is an important part of managing type 2 diabetes. But so is managing your potential risk of major cardiovascular (CV) events if you also have known heart disease. GLP1s along with diet and exercise are proven to improve blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. In adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease, GLP1s reduces the risk of major cardiovascular events such as stroke, heart attack, or death.

This in conjunction with proper diet and exercise should yield some additional weight loss. Our doctors will see which products are better suited to you.

Weight Loss Therapies

  • Semaglutide FDA-approved weight loss medication therapies.  The medications are administered once weekly via subcutaneous injection and produce an average weight loss of 50 lb over 6 months of treatment. It belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists, which work by increasing insulin release and reducing glucose production in the liver. *Semaglutide may not be suitable for everyone, and its use should be discussed with a healthcare provider. Individuals with certain medical conditions or contraindications may not be eligible for this treatment. A comprehensive assessment is necessary to determine suitability.

  • Tirzepatide is a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It works by regulating insulin and glucagon, leading to reduced appetite, delayed gastric emptying, and improved glucose control, all contributing to weight loss. Your individual weight loss depends on many biologic factors including the duration and dosages that you receive. While individual results may vary, customers may potentially achieve weight loss targets of up to 30 pounds in the first three months of treatment, and possibly 50 pounds after 6 months. *Tirzepatide may not be suitable for everyone, and its use should be discussed with a healthcare provider. Individuals with certain medical conditions or contraindications may not be eligible for this treatment. A comprehensive assessment is necessary to determine suitability.

  • Tesofensine works by blocking the reuptake of three neurotransmitters – dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin – in the brain, which leads to increased levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain. The potential advantages of Tesofensine include increased satiety, decreased food intake, and improved weight loss outcomes. Tesofensine has undergone several clinical trials for obesity and has shown promising results in terms of weight loss. Additionally, Tesofensine has been studied as a potential treatment for other conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Tesofensine is taken orally once a day before meals with or without food.

  • MIC B12 is lipotropic that supports the body with its natural detoxification processes by regulating fat metabolism, removing toxins and waste, and supporting the liver. Accumulation of fat in the liver interferes with cholesterol metabolism and hormone balance resulting in the accumulation of fat deposits in the liver and coronary system. Methionine – An important amino acid in the metabolism process. Inositol – B complex vitamin, supports cell structure & nerve connections and helps regulate mood and appetite. Choline – a crucial nutrient that helps regulate memory, mood, muscle control, and other physiological functions. B12 – a vitamin that heightens the metabolic process and aids the body in converting fats and carbohydrates to energy.
