Weight Loss

For a weight loss strategy to be successful, it needs to address not just caloric intake, but also how those calories are burned. That’s why Theta Vitality & Wellness Center offers a metabolic weight loss program that assesses the way the body uses food for energy to develop a personalized weight loss regimen. This may involve learning new skills, making significant lifestyle changes, and taking new medications.

Metabolic Weight Loss Intake Assessment

Our extensive metabolic weight loss evaluation consists of:

  • Height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and waist measurements

  • Complete medical history review, including diets and behavioral eating issues

  • Consultation with our nutritionist

  • Physical examination by a physician

  • Prescriptions for blood work and any necessary medical tests

  • Resting metabolic rate and body composition analysis

  • Consultation with our trainer if an exercise regimen is needed

Metabolic Weight Loss Treatment

Once the metabolic weight loss intake assessment is completed, one of our metabolic doctors will review the results with the patient. Vitamin, mineral deficiencies, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, or other breakdowns in the normal metabolic process that may be preventing successful weight loss will be addressed.

Additional metabolic weight loss treatments may include:

  • Lifestyle changes

  • Behavioral modifications

  • Medically supervised diet

  • Management of any existing medications

  • Prescription weight loss medications

  • Nutrition counseling and personalized eating plans

  • Exercise guidelines

  • Stress management

Type 2 Diabetic Wellness Therapy

Lowering A1C is an important part of managing type 2 diabetes. But so is managing your potential risk of major cardiovascular (CV) events if you also have known heart disease. GLP1s along with diet and exercise are proven to improve blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. In adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease, GLP1s reduces the risk of major cardiovascular events such as stroke, heart attack, or death.

This in conjunction with proper diet and exercise should yield some additional weight loss. Our doctors will see which products are better suited to you.
